What is DONG DONG NEVER DIE?
DONG DONG NEVER DIE is a bizarre fighting game created in the late 2000s by a group of Chinese fighting game fans. It features a bunch of random characters, even Mario is here for some reason. The game resembles Mortal Kombat with its digitized graphics. Now, when it comes to gameplay, it's a mix of King of Fighters and Street Fighter. The original game was developed and released exclusively for a Chinese audience in mind, so there was no English for it for more than 13 years.
So, I translated the game's main plot, UI, and some random background text here and there. You might recognize this hidden gem from Vinesauce Joel.

Install instructions
1) Unzip it
2) ???
3) Run GAME.EXE
4) Change keyboard controls on the (O) option, and then on the (K) option.
4.1) Change joystick controls on the (O) option, and then on the (J) option.
4) Enjoy it!

everytime i open game.exe it just instantly closes, what do i do
Make sure you installed DirectPlay before running the game, or, put it the game in a folder that does not contain any "periods" in the file path.
Games like Dong Dong Never Die tend to not open due to that.
You can also try opening it in compatibility mode if possible.
I am so thankful that you have chosen to preserve this wonderful piece of history on a site that no one would suspect of being harmful. It can now be enjoyed by whomever would like to subject themselves to such happiness
just learned about this game today. Very nice work! My recent dive into 2d fighters from the PS1 era has led me here, somehow, so thanks for the effort.
